New York City-based vocalist, Ken Orlino, and Copenhagen-based Producer, Micki Borneland, come together as Boys Holding Hands bringing a romantic twist on electronic music infused with pop culture.
Even a physical distance across the world can’t stand against this couple’s open-hearted sharing and intertwined creativity. Their first-ever EP, ‘Solace’, released in July 2023, quickly captured global attention, amassing over 150,000 streams within the month of its release. Since then, the duo made a striking debut, performing live as opening headliner for Copenhagen Pride 2023. Their dynamic DJ sets have also brought vibrant energy to various clubs and festivals, showcasing their ability to connect with fans in every setting.
Ken, a classically-trained vocalist since the age of 9, discovered his passion for R&B and pop early on, competing in singing competitions both in the United States and the Philippines. By the age of 14, he was a top 10 finalist on the TV show, Pop Superstar. Meanwhile, Micki, a Platinum award-winning producer, has been making waves since co-founding Borneland with his younger brother over 16 years ago. His work has garnered mass recognition across BuzzFeed, MTV and American Billboard, including a celebrated remix of Destiny’s Child’s ‘Bug A Boo’.
Now, Boys Holding Hands are poised to take their artistry to new heights with the highly anticipated release of their debut album, ‘Things You Feel’, out now on all streaming platforms.

Internationally acclaimed duo Boys Holding Hands, comprised of New York City-based vocalist Ken Orlino and Copenhagen-based producer Micki Borneland, are proud to announce the release of their debut album, Things You Feel. Available now on all streaming platforms, the album is a deeply personal exploration of the emotional spectrum, weaving themes of human connection, self-reflection, and empowerment.
“This album has been our heart’s child for the past year,” the duo shares. “Born from countless thoughts, dreams, ideas, and demos, it carries pieces of us from all over the world: track sketches made on the edge of a pool in LA, lyrics written on a ferry to Norway, ideas developed in Barcelona and further refined in London, demos produced in Sydney, arrangements finalized in Berlin, recordings captured in New York, and refinements made in Copenhagen. In many ways, Things You Feel reflects our relationship — a long-distance connection where distance doesn’t exist, even when we’re on opposite sides of the world.”
Each track tells a story, from the sultry, fleeting passion of ‘Until Moonlight’ to the cathartic anthem ‘gtfo’, which closes the album with raw independence. Other highlights include ‘Your Lips’ Taste’, which craves the memories of a love long gone, and ‘Also Bad’, an anthem of duality balancing confidence and doubt.
The 10-track album marks a significant milestone for Boys Holding Hands, whose artistry blends electronic soundscapes with pop sensibilities. Following their breakout EP ‘Solace’ in 2023 and performances at notable festivals like Roskilde Festival and Copenhagen Pride, ‘Things You Feel’ solidifies their place as boundary-pushing creators.
Listen to ‘Things You Feel’ now on Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal.
